1. Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry

Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry, Solan, was established on 1st December, 1985 with the objective to promote education, research and extension education in the fields of Horticulture, Forestry and allied disciplines. The education aims at an all-round development of the personality of the student and the University provides the necessary facilities to achieve this objective. The College of Forestry has now seven departments namely Tree Improvement & Genetic Resources, Silviculture & Agroforestry, Forest Products, Soil Science & Water Management, Environmental Science, Social Sciences, Basic Sciences with the mandate of imparting teaching to undergraduate and postgraduate students leading to B.Sc., M.Sc. & Ph.D degree. Three departments of College of Horticulture namely Biotechnology, Mycology & Plant Pathology & Entomology & Apiculture provide help in teaching and research programmes to this College in their areas of specialization. 2. Banaras Hindu University

The Institute of Agricultural Sciences spare formally established in August 1980 had its inception as Institute of Agricultural Research, Banaras Hindu University in 1931, At the time of its establishment, the Institute was one of the pioneers in starting postgraduate teaching and research programmes in Agriculture in India. it could also meet the research and extension needs of the area comprising of eastern Uttar Pradesh.

3. Jawaharlal Nehru Agriculture College, Jabalpur

Government of India with the assistance of the State Government established the biggest multi-campus university at Jabalpur. Agricultural Education Division, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi ranked Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalya, Jabalpur at 18th place among all the organizations involved in Agricultural Education and 12th place among State Agricultural Universities.

8. Forest Research Institute, Dehradun

Forest Research Institute (FRI), Dehradun” has its roots in the erstwhile Imperial Forest Research Institute established in 1906 to organize and lead forestry research in the country. Its history is synonymous with the evolution and development of scientific forestry not only in India but in the entire Indian subcontinent. The institute also administered training to forest officers and forest ranger in the country and after independence it was aptly named as Forest Research Institute and Colleges. In 1988, FRI and its research centers were brought under the administrative umbrella of Indian Council of Forestry Research & Education (ICFRE) under the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India.
