3. Sir J. J. School of Art

Sir J. J. School of Art was founded in March 1857. School today stands in the heritage building with departments of drawing and painting, sculpture and modelling, mural, portraiture, printmaking, arts and crafts including ceramics, interior decoration, metal work and textiles; and teachers training with art teachers’ diploma, Art Masters and Diploma in Painting Education. The college has undergraduate and post graduate programs with BFA and MFA degrees conferred to the students. 4. National Institute Of Design

Today the National Institute of Design is internationally acclaimed as one of the finest educational and research institutions for Industrial, Communication, Textile and IT Integrated (Experiential) Design. It is an autonomous institution under the aegis of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India. NID has been declared ‘Institution of National Importance’ by the Act of Parliament, by virtue of the National Institute of Design Act 2014.

It is also recognized by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research, Government of India as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation.
