Govt. Ram Chandra Khaitan Polytechnic College was established in the year 1982 with the motto of imparting professional education to the students. College is offering three years diploma courses in the Seven branches i.e.

- Electronics Engg
- Mechanical Engg
- Mechanical Production
- Mechanical RAC
- Civil Engg.
The institute is running in the overall control of Ministry of Technical Education, Government of Rajasthan and Directorate of Technical Education Rajasthan, Jodhpur. The courses are affiliated with the Board of Technical Education Rajasthan, Jodhpur.
The total land area available to the institute is 10,570 sqm. In which the department has planned to construct 4 storied educational building comprising classrooms, laboratories, conference hall, canteen / common room, exhibition/display room, parking etc. Apart from this, the institute also has a Library facility, playgrounds, water harvesting facility.
