farmer's son bagged AIR 96 in NEET UG 2018

Jitendra Yadav (17), a farmer’s son, bagged all India rank (AIR) 96 in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), the results of which were declared by the Central Board of Secondary Education on Monday. NEET-UG is an entrance examination conducted for students who wish to study graduate medical course (MBBS) and dental course (BDS) in government or private medical and dental colleges.

He and his elder brother had rented a room in Jaipur and studied at Allen Career Institute. His brother was preparing for the Indian Engineering Service. He had scored 95% in Class 12 in 2016-17 and dropped a year to prepare for NEET. Till Class 8, he studied in Hindi medium and switched to English medium from Class 9. In Class 10, he had scored 92.83% marks.
