Gold-winning para-athlete Ekta Bhyan on life and sports

Ekta Bhyan (born 1985) is a para athlete who represents India in the Women’s club and discus throw event.She won the Gold medal in this event at the recent National Para Athletics Championships in Panchkula 2018. She has also represented India at the 2017 IPC World Para Athletics Championships in London. She is supported by the GoSports Foundation through the Para Champions Programme.

Career

Bhyan took up sports after an accident and was coached by Amit Saroha in club and discus throw. She represented India at the 2017 IPC Para Athletics World Championships. She won a Gold medal in the club and discus throw event at the National Para Athletics Championships in Panchkula 2018.

Bhyan works as an employment officer with the Haryana Government
