Bhartiya Skill Development University, Jaipur

Bhartiya Skill Development University(BSDU) has been incorporated as a State Private University vide GOR Act No. 3 of 2017 (BSDU Act). It is the first University in the country offering only Skills programs. It offers Skill Certificate, Diploma, Advance Diploma, Bachelor of Vocation (B.Voc), Master of Vocation (M.Voc) and Ph.D. in various skill areas. BSDU programs are in compliance with UGC Instructions for Vocational Programs, National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF), AICTE Instruction for Vocational Programs, NSQF RPL (Recognition of Previous Learning) Guidelines, Guidelines of respective Sector Skill Councils (SSC), National Occupational Standards (NOS), Skills Qualification Packs.

The UGC has approved B.Voc programs based on the National Skill Qualification Framework, to address the critical requirements of Skill sets to make the candidates industry ready. It’s a great opportunity to shape the careers of youth in the relevant skill sectors. BSDU has evolved B.Voc curriculum having 60% Skills and 40% General Education component. Rajasthan ILD Skills University, Jaipur

Rajasthan ILD Skills University (RISU) has been incorporated as Rajasthan Government State University vide Act No. 6 of 2017. Dr. Lalit K. Panwar, former IAS and Ex-Secretary, Govt. of India has been appointed as first Vice Chancellor of RISU. Twenty-two skill related institutions have been affiliated so far and more than 4000 students are pursuing skill based studies in these institutions. The affiliated institutions have commenced first session from July, 2018.

RISU is an effective institutional intervention to implement National Skills Qualification Framework in the State. Being a Government University, RISU is the affiliating body for a large number of institutions operating in skill and vocational training.

Symbiosis Skills & Open University, Pune

Symbiosis Open Education Society (SOES) was established to promote vocational, skill based education and open & distance learning. SOES has four constituent units under its aegis – Symbiosis Centre for Distance Learning (SCDL), Symbiosis Vocational Junior College, Symbiosis Community College and Symbiosis Institute of Skill Development. SCDL was established in 1994 with the objective of “Reaching the Unreached”. Taking the mission of Skill India forward, Symbiosis Open Education Society announced the establishment of Maharashtra’s first Skill Development University called the Symbiosis Skills and Open University at Kiwale, Pune. Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University, Gurugram

India’s population is viewed as a large pool of human capital that can cater to global needs and create an internationally accepted skilled workforce. Haryana Vishwakarma Skill University(HVSU) can do its bit by addressing concerns of the State by skilling youth to the desired national and international standards and requirements. To meet demand of industry and changing technological scenario, HVSU shall conceptualise contents & curriculum conforming to quality and standards of NSQF and International Qualification Frameworks. The prime objective of the HVSU shall be to equip learners with latest industrial skills and enable them to be employable. The university needs to design innovative programmes blended with OJT or apprenticeship. HVSU needs to design skill/ career development programmes from certificate level to doctorate level spanning entire canvas of skill education. To promote educational equity and inclusion, trainees from all walks of life and different abilities will be free to take up education with the university. Centurion University of Technology and Management, Odisha

The journey of Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM) began in the year 2005 by a group of ambitious academics with aspirations to provide high quality education both nationally and internationally. The first step in this direction was to take over an ailing engineering Institute, the Jagannath Institute for Technology and Management (JITM) in one of the most challenging tribal districts of Odisha and one which was considered to be a left-wing extremist affected area.
