The main aim of the program is to develop a pool of trained manpower readily available for recruitment in organizations working in GIS & Remote Sensing fields. GIS & Remote Sensing technology is highly used in utility sector and is capable of carrying out complex on-line and off-line power system analysis like load flow analysis, load forecasting, route optimization, distribution planning and control, geometric network for optimum distribution of power in demanding phase.

The course covers operation and maintenance of Power Plants viz., Thermal including Gas, Solar, Wind, Biomass etc., with exposure to on-job training for substantiation of Operational and Maintenance practices and concepts.
