NPTI established a “Centre for Advanced Management and Power Studies” (CAMPS) at the Corporate Office, Faridabad for the higher echelons of the Power Sector. CAMPS has been entrusted with the responsibility for conducting Programs on Power Regulation, Power Finance, Power Environment and Power Technology interfaces etc. Power System studies focusing the recent technological advancements covering emerging areas such as Intelligent automation, Smart Grid Technology, Renewable Energy Integration with Grid Interface modules for power evacuation utilizing Smart Power Flow Controllers are also some of the niche areas. Blending frontier technologies with Management, the Centre prides itself in conducting Programs/ Workshops for working executives and freshers. Courses on Regulatory Framework are also being conducted through Distance Education Mode including assessment and evaluation by NPTI. Burning topics in Electricity Regulation, Protection of Consumer interests, Open Access and Load Dispatch, Demand Side Management and Smart Power Flow Controllers for a Smarter Grid have been the highlights of the past 5 years. Energy Efficiency and Energy Conservation, LED Street Lighting programs, Power System Economics are some of the other disciplines which are also being addressed to meet the future needs of Power Sector. Under the auspices of CAMPS, a 2-year MBA in Power Management Program is also being organized. The present intake is 120 students per year. Students passing out are finding Campus Placement in reputed Power Sector Companies and Consultancy firms like PwC, Deloitte, TATA Power, Reliance Energy, NDPL, BSES etc.

It is a Long Term Courses. The main objective of the course is to create technically trained manpower readily available for recruitment to the power companies in the area of Transmission & Distribution of electrical power.
