The programmes in Business Economics are designed to meet the growing need for an analytical and quantitative approach to problem solving in the changing corporate world by the application of the latest techniques evolved in the fields of Economics and Business. The Department also arranges an Annual Convention every year during which experts from different fields speak on contemporary issues in the Economy and Business.
The current research interests of the Department Faculty include, Business Policy and Strategy, Industry Studies, Environmental and Resource Economics, Foreign Trade, Macro Economic, Policy, International Finance and Marketing, Applied Econometrics, Energy Economics, Labour Economics, Urban Economics, and Economics of Climate Change.The Department attracts sharp and talented minds from all across the nation to its academic programs which includes PhD in various business and economic research fields, along with the flagship program, MBA(BE).
