Jamia Hamdard University New Delhi

Jamia Hamdard was inaugurated by Late Shri Rajiv Gandhi on August 01, 1989. In his impressive speech, the Prime Minister lauded the efforts of Hakeem Abdul Hameed in setting up institutions of learning which were emerging in the form of a “Deemed to be University”. He said, “This will enable (the Muslim) minority to go forward and help India to march forward”.Contribution of Hakeem Abdul Hameed to promote the cause of education, health and social service was acknowledged by the Government of India in 1965 when he was awarded Padma Shri for his valuable contribution and for his personal qualities of sacrifice, devotion and commitment to the cause of education. He was also awarded the Padma Bhushan in 1991. The services rendered by Hakeem Abdul Hameed to the cause of education of Muslims have been acknowledged not only in India but in other countries too.

Jamia Hamdard was conceived as a seat of higher learning in Unani Medicine, Islamic Studies, Biosciences, Pharmacy, Nursing and other areas of knowledge by its founder as a means of fulfilling the objects of the wakf. Indian Institute of Health Management Research Jaipur

Indian Institute of Health Management Research (IIHMR) was established in 1984, with a fundamental purpose of creating new knowledge and developing alternate modes of improving healthcare to management research, education and training in India and other parts of theworld. The Institute has significantly contributed to the areas of health research management in the country and in South-East Asia Region. It has established a new paradigm of management of capacity development among healthcare professionals at the national, state and district levels in the areas of leadership, strategic management, and quality assurance in health care. The Institute works as a WHO Collaborating Centre for District Health Systems Based on Primary Healthcare since last one and a half decades. The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India, has designated the Institute as ‘Institute of Excellence’ for its contribution to capacity development programs in the health sector. The Post-graduate program in Hospital and Health Management, Pharmaceutical Management and Rural Management are the unique programs of IIHMR.

Under the Society of Indian Institute of Health Management Research, the IIHMR group has created four campuses all over India.
