About Institute
A “home-grown guru in management education” was how Prof. J. Philip was described by Mr. Thothathri Raman in a special write-up on him in the feature ‘Heritage’ in an issue of ‘Indian Management’. Prof. J. Philip is the principal founder and builder of Xavier Institute of Management & Entrepreneurship (XIME) Bangalore, with campuses also in Kochi and Chennai, which is today recognized as one of the top Business Schools in the country. He is currently the Chairman of XIME, Bangalore.These six years were a period of tremendous growth for the Institute marked by a series of innovations and pace-setting activities. Academically and professionally the Institute reached a high level of performance and accomplishment with Prof. Philip at the helm. He launched the International Teachers Programme in Management and enabled IIM-B to become a participating institution in the Indo-ECC project for Faculty Exchanges and Cooperation comprising seven management Schools of Europe.
Since inception XIME had AICTE approval for its full time residential PGDM programme.
Right now it has an approved intake of:

- 120 students at Kochi campus
- 120 students at Chennai campus
The library, located at the main campus:

- Subscription to EMIS (Emerging Market Information Services) database for research.
There are 16 classrooms with seating capacity ranging from 40 to 150. They are fully equipped with public address system and LCD projectors. There are five seminar halls/board rooms having all modern facilities of a real board room.
About XIME Kochi
It was a red letter day in the history of XIME when the foundation stone for the new campus of XIME was laid at KINFRA Park, Kochi on November 12, 2011. The then Chief Minister of Kerala laid the foundation stone along with a number of Ministers and distinguished guests including eminent persons from the industry and academia. The new campus was inaugurated on 2nd December 2012 again by the then Chief Minister of Kerala – Shri Oommen Chandy, thus honouring the institute twice.
The sparkling new campus has 1,14,000 sq. ft. area already built up with all modern facilities which include:
- 8 Classrooms with seating capacity ranging from 30 to 150
- Classrooms fully equipped with public address system and LCD projectors
- 2 Executive Conference Halls for Management Development Programmes (MDPs)
- Auditorium with a seating capacity of 500

About XIME Chennai
XIME Chennai is strategically situated at SIPCOT (State Industries Promotion Corporation of Tamil Nadu) Industrial Area in Oragadam near to Chennai which is the largest industrial and commercial centre in South India and a major cultural, economic and education centre. The City is known as “Detroit of India” for its automobile industry.

Eligibility for Admission
Bachelor’s Degree
- Candidates applying for the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) are required to have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (45% for SC/ST candidates).
- Candidates who are appearing for their final year examination and are awaiting their results may also apply.
- They should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the degree course until then. They should be completing all their degree examinations before June 09, 2019. Such candidates are required to produce proof of passing the degree examination with the minimum required marks of 50%, latest by September 10, 2019.
- Applicants who have un-cleared backlog papers in graduation, are not eligible to apply.

An entrance test score of 75 percentile and above in any of the following Entrance Tests (75% in GMAT)

Selection Criteria
- Score for academic performance in X Std., XII Std., Under Graduate Degree/ Post Graduate Degree – 20%
- Score in the Common Admission Test (CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT) – 35%
- Group discussion/interview – 35%
- Weightage for participation in Sports, Extra-Curricular activities, Academic diversity and Gender diversity – 10%
