And Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) today stands as a realization of that dream!
Promoted by Himalayan Institute Hospital Trust (HIHT), SRHU is established under Section 2(f) of UGC Act 1956, enacted vide an Act of Uttarakhand No. 12 of 2013.
Our University is a teaching & learning center that helps the Youth transform into caring Doctors, expert Surgeons, efficient Paramedics, compassionate Nurses, effective Managers, skilled Engineers, creative Bio Technologists and adept Yoga Practitioners.
Through 62+ UG, PG and Doctoral Programs, 46+ teaching departments, 3000+ faculty & staff and a state-of-the-art infrastructure including 1200 bed PG hospital, green campus spread over 200 acres, we have dedicated ourselves in building an educated, healthy and community conscious individual.

With its vision to provide affordable & quality healthcare to the underprivileged, Rural Development Institute (RDI), an allied unit, works in the remote ares of the state through health camps, water & sanitation programs, skill development initiatives, etc. Hitherto, RDI has supported 200,000+ Women and 19,000+ Children | Health education to 10,000+ school students | Drinking water made available in 370+ villages | 111,000+ Adolescent Counselled | Set up 64 disabled people’s organization at village level.
Admissions for Ph.D Programmes for different Academic units are open in the month of May with the commencement of academic session from the month of July-August. To apply for the admission candidates are required to register for a desirable Programme being offered under various categories. On the basis of eligibility criteria of the Programme applied for, the University would declare result for Ph.D candidates in its website (http://srhu.edu.in/) and also on the University notice board.
