Applications are invited through advertisement each year and awardees are selected by Selection Committee constituted by the Department. The awardees receive a fellowship amount of Rs. 25,000/- per month in addition to regular salary and contingency grant of Rs. 6 lakhs per annum. The duration of the fellowship is initially for three years which can be extended further by another two years on a fresh appraisal.
